Event Description:
In beginner wheel throwing class, learn the basics of working with clay on the wheel. You will learn the proper techniques and methods of keeping the clay piece centered and balances as well as how to pull the clay up into a cylinder or bowl shape. No experience is needed and you will be amazing at what you can learn during this class.

You may create as many pieces as desired in the time of the class and any pieces you choose to keep will be fired and ready for you to glaze in the design and colors of your choice. You may come in any time during business hours for glazing, no reservation required. Finished pieces include clay used, paint glazes used, and 2 firings at just $12 per piece.

We promise a funtastic time at our studio with a full bar available for our over 21 artists, we provide everything you need. We have juices, sodas and Jones Pure Cane Sugar soda available for sale and popcorn and water is always included at no extra fee!

 We have great music and ambiance and we give you a step by step guide to painting this project.  Please get here a little early (15 minutes or so) so you can grab and apron and settle in with your friends, find a seat, grab a beverage and get ready to create your masterpiece.

All of our teachers are trained artists.  We can't wait to see you and your friends at the next class!

Ongoing Programs & Features

Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
