Event Description:
The Washington Specialty Shops are partnering with WHIP (Washington Helps It’s People) beginning with their Holiday Open House Saturday and Sunday November 7 & 8. The Specialty Shops will be giving away a gift basket worth over $200. Drawing tickets for the basket will be given for each non- perishable food item brought to any of the stores starting this weekend and continuing through our Candlelight Stroll on December 3rd . The drawing for the basket will be held at the end of the evening on December 3rd . Many of the stores will be offering specials this weekend and most of the Specialty Shops will now be open 12-4 pm on Sundays through Christmas. Santa’s mailbox will be placed outside of Denhart’s Baking Company and any letters with a return address that is dropped off by Dec. 15th will get a reply by Christmas. Join us for our Holiday Open House and Shop Washington First this holiday season.

Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
