Event Description:
The Washington Chamber of Commerce and Lindy’s Downtown Market are presenting the Chamber’s fifth annual Leadership Academy.  The eight week course, to be held March 12 - April 30, 2014, will give participants insight as to what makes a good leader in Central Illinois.
 
The class will meet Wednesdays from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Each week, the class will take place at a different location and a new perspective will be offered.
 
The enrollment fee is $195 per person or $125 with Chamber member discount. The fee includes all class materials, behind the scenes look at local businesses, learning from local business leaders, hands on experience with a real life community project, networking opportunities, and a day trip to Springfield, which includes a tour of the Capitol Building, a Meet & Greet with state legislators, lunch, and a visit to the Lincoln Museum.
 
Topics included in the 2014 academy will be:  Leadership: What is It? What Does It Look Like? How Does It Work? Leadership in Local Government. Leadership in the Business World. Leadership in State Government & History. Leadership in the Community. Leadership in Practice and In Real Life. (Topics are subject to change.)
 
Enrollment Forms can be obtained at the Chamber Office (114 Washington Square, Washington, IL), by e-mail at info@washingtoncoc.com, or on-line at www.washingtoncoc.com.  The deadline for applications is extended to March 5, 2014.
