Town & Country Gardeners of Washington will hold their annual spring garden sale on Saturday, May 4, 8am-11am, in front of Martin Financial Services, 100 S. Main, Washington Square. In the event of storms or heavy rain, the sale will be held Saturday, May 11. The sale features a variety of bargain-priced perennials and herbs, garden décor, and gardening supplies. Specialty tote bags, perfect for grocery, farmer’s market, and plant shopping, are a new item this year and will be available for a small donation of $5 each or 2 for $8. Proceeds from the sale will be used for landscaping around the historic marker installed on Washington Square last year and for other city-wide beautification projects and tree plantings.

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
