Looking for a fun and creative way to keep your kids entertained this spring break? Sign them up for our 2-Day Mini Clay Camp at The Clay Den! Designed for kids ages 7 and up, this camp offers a hands-on introduction to the exciting world of ceramics.
Day 1: Hand Building – We’ll explore creative techniques like sculpting, slab building, and texture design to craft fun and functional pieces.
Day 2: Wheel Throwing – Kids will learn the basics of the pottery wheel as they create their own unique clay masterpieces.

Each project will be fired and glazed, ready for pickup a few weeks after camp. Whether they’re beginners or budding artists, this camp is the perfect way for kids to get creative, have fun, and learn something new!

Dates: Monday March 30th and Tuesday March 31st from 10am-12pm

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend your reserved time-slot, a written request must be submitted via email to claydenwashington@gmail.com In order to receive a class credit voucher, the request must be submitted in advance. Requests made within less than 48 hours prior to the class it will not be honored.

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
