Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale for Sing On! Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Five Points Washington. This will be Dr. Joseph D. Henry’s final concert series with the group before retirement. The repertoire includes a variety of uplifting music including Heavenly Home, a trilogy of a capella gospel tunes, standards like “Embraceable You” and “Bye Bye Blackbird,” spirituals like “Ezekiel Saw the Wheel” and “Music in the Air,” and americana songs like “Shenandoah” and “America the Beautiful.” There will also be a large variety of numbers from musicals including “Never Enough” and “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman, “The Impossible Dream” from Man of La Mancha and a medley of numbers from classics like Oklahoma, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, Carousel, My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Music Man and more. The Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus will perform nightly and a Children’s Festival Choir of area 4th-6th graders will perform on Friday evening. A cake reception will follow both performances. Tickets to Sing On! are $25 for adults, $20 for groups of 10 or more, $10 for students and children 12 and under may receive a free ticket if arranged through the box office. Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
