The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Bradley University is collaborating with Illinois Business Financial Services (IBFS) to discuss the SBA 504 Loan Program and how small businesses can take advantage. IBFS operates as a licensed Community Development Company (CDC) working with small businesses throughout the state of Illinois looking to expand and grow their existing businesses. IBFS has been packaging and preparing loan requests for the Small Business Administration (SBA) for over 40 years since establishing our headquarters in Peoria, beginning operations in 1981. Since that time, IBFS has helped hundreds of small businesses realize their dreams of taking their businesses to the next level through expansion or construction of new and existing real estate and/or large pieces of equipment. Kyle was born and raised in East Peoria, IL before venturing off to the University of Illinois where he majored in Finance and Business Administration. He promptly moved back to the Peoria area after college where he has been highly involved with community activities throughout the greater Central Illinois region. Kyle has a wealth of knowledge about applying for and obtaining conventional and federal funding for commercial loan opportunities.

Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
