Event Description:

The Washington Park District is hosting a Picnic in the Park. Enjoy a fun event with music, food, face painter, balloon artist, bounce house, DJ, backyard games, and friends! The Washington Police Department will hold a K9 demonstration at 4:30pm, and will also be on hand for Car Seat Safety checks. Families are encouraged to come out and bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a picnic meal. Don't feel like a picnic? A grill will be going with pork chops, hot dogs, and more available for sale!

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
