National SBDC Day unites nearly 1,000 centers across America and their many clients and partners who join in the celebrations by sharing their success stories and bringing to light how SBDCs have helped their businesses grow. You can join the National SBDC Day celebration by attending our Open House or joining digitally or online. Get help from experts and find out the most sustainable ways to make your business grow. National SBDC Day was first observed in 2017. #SBDC Day is a national celebration of the success and impact that America’s Small Business Development Centers have had on American start-ups and small businesses. SBDCs provide consulting, training, and resources to existing as well as new small businesses. If you have experienced success as a small business owner and wish to expand further, your local SBDC has the right tools and specialized expertise to help you expand your operations! If you have not yet sought help from an SBDC, their expertise is probably what you need for your organization to reach its full potential. Everyone is welcome to the open house to join in the fun and celebrate your local Illinois SBDC at Bradley University. Our team of experts empowering businesses to start, grow and innovate will be in attendance. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available. Bring your business card. Three dynamic door prizes will be given out. No registration required.

Ongoing Programs & Features

Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
