Join the Center for Prevention of Abuse on Tuesday, March 31 from 5-6:30 p.m. for a free community event to kick off our inaugural human trafficking conference, Light 2020. This session will focus on learning the basics of human trafficking, its definition and impact locally, top industries, red flags and indicators, and what to do if you see suspicious activity. Attendees will also learn about legislative efforts, law enforcement and first responder training, and available local resources for survivors of labor and sex trafficking in Central Illinois. Limited space available.

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
