The Historical Society’s own John Stromberger will present this meticulously researched program on the entire 200-year history of Washington in honor of Washington’s bicentennial celebration this summer. The program will take us through time from when Washington was still prairie, through Washington’s founding and early years, all the way to present day. If you are interested in hearing a historical overview that might help you understand how Washington came to be the community we know today, this is the program for you.
Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
