In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month this April, CFPA is hosting its 9th Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk, I Run with Survivors, on Saturday, 4/11, 2026 at 8 am in the Levee District in East Peoria. All the proceeds from registration go toward providing free and confidential services for survivors of sexual assault at CFPA. CFPA wants all survivors – ones who have come forward to disclose and ones who keep their abuse private – to know that the community supports them, the Center for Prevention of Abuse supports them, and that they are believed. Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Love Monster by Rachel Bright.

Friends of Washington District Library is accepting book, DVD, and CD donations for our Spring Booksale. Donations will be accepted March 30 – April 12 during open hours at the Main Library.
