Event Description:
The Historical Society's annual banquet and spring program will begin at 6 p.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church Mon., Apr. 22.  We will be recognizing Lindy's as a Washington family business.  We also will honor the memory of long time members James Gee and Gary Lucas.  The event is open to the public.  Tickets will be sold through the Chamber of Commerce beginning mid-March.  The dinner will be catered by Denhart's, and the program is underwritten by Illinois Humanities Council.  Dennis Stroughmatt will present "French Influence in S. Illinois and French Creole Fiddle Music."  Non-members are welcome.

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
