Event Description:
The Seigfried Trio joins us to bring jazz great Claude Bolling's Suite to swinging life. The concert opens with an orchestral suite by one of music history's greatest improvisers, J. S. Bach. High School students from the Central Illinois Youth Symphony will join the orchestra for a special side-by-side performance of Bernstein's West Side Story. Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Love Monster by Rachel Bright.
