This month’s Speaker Series will take place in Banquet Room D.

 

Mary Slusarek will lead us in some fun line dancing routines. Don’t worry if you haven’t line danced before, Mary is here to help teach you the routines.

 

Come join the dancing or you can watch and enjoy the special Halloween Treats! We will also have some Halloween Trivia to get you into the Halloween spirit.

 

Mary is a life-long Peoria/Washington resident and has 20 years of experience dancing ballroom and line dancing. She often line dances at the Pearce Community Center, classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Her favorite line dances are the “Cupid Shuffle,” “Electric Slide” and “Neon Moon.”

Our Speaker Series is from 1-3PM every fourth Monday of the Month. Refreshments will be available and you do NOT have to be a Five Points member to come to our Speaker Series.

Ongoing Programs & Features

Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
