The Bicentennial Committee's first event for "Kickoff to 2025" will be teh Bicentennial Block Party! Including
  • Dinner down the middle of South Main Street. Served at 5:30 p.m.
  • Pulled Pork Meal $12.00, Hot Dog Meal $8.00, Bags Tournament $10.00 per participant
  • Pre-Sale Tickets Only - No ticket sales at time of event - admission by ticket only
  • Limited number of tickets available
  • DJ will be providing music
  • Balloon Artists
  • Henna painting and face painting

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
