Washington residents can have coffee with Mayor Gary Manier on Saturday, May 2 at the Zinser House, 105 Zinser Place. Coffee with the Mayor is being hosted by the Washington Historical Society, offering residents and opportunity to talk with the mayor about city issues, as well as tour the historic Zinser House. The event is being held from 8-10:00 a.m. However, the mayor will not be available from 9:00-9:15 a.m. when he will be speaking at the Washington Clean-Up Day in Washington Park. Coffee with the Mayor is a monthly event, giving the citizens of Washington an opportunity to chat one-on-one with the mayor about their matters of concern. The public is invited to attend this free event.
Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Love Monster by Rachel Bright.
