It’s spring cleaning time in Washington. The 4th annual Take Pride in Washington Clean Up Day will held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, 9:00 am—10:30 am. Sign up begins at 8:30 am at Wenger Shelter in Washington Park, off Stratford Drive. Groups interested in participating in the Clean Up can call the Washington Chamber of Commerce, 444-9921.

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
