Event Description:
Gather your family, grab your mittens, and step into an evening filled with holiday joy. The celebration begins with music from the District 50 Band and Choir and our first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting with the Mayor. Then make your way to the library for a cozy reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Stroll the Plaza to meet Santa and The Grinch, enjoy festive crafts, warm up with hot cocoa, and take in all the twinkling lights.
And for a little extra magic: Christmas cookie decorating and a special showing of Elf at the theatre!

StoryWalk in Washington Park
Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro.
