Are you at the crossroads of entrepreneurship, thinking about the age-old dilemma: to embark on your journey solo or to seek a co-founder to share the adventure? It’s not an easy decision yet it can have significant consequences for the future success of a startup. Introducing "An Entrepreneur’s Dilemma: Start Alone or Start with a Co-Founder?" – the first of three forums designed to highlight critical decisions founders need to make as part of their startup journey. In this first forum, we’ll discuss the pros and cons of both approaches, solo or with a co-founder. Don't miss this opportunity to gain firsthand insights and connect with like-minded individuals facing the same dilemmas. The forums are hosted by Bradley University’s Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship. Participants will include students studying entrepreneurship. The forums include a networking session to connect students with local entrepreneurs and resources. Topics of Discussion: The most important reasons why staying solo may be the best option for founders. The challenges with being a solo founder. The factors that should be considered when bringing in a co-founder The challenges with having more than one owner. Tips for success for either approach. Bicentennial History Exhibit – On display July 13th – August 24th, 2025 at Five Points Washington

Bicentennial and historical images will be exhibited by the Washington Historical Society on the Community Gallery Wall at Five Points Washington. The carefully curated photographs selected for this exhibit give a unique insight into events, people, and places from Washington’s past. The selected photographs span the last 150 years of Washington’s history and feature community events and everyday life in Washington.


StoryWalk in Washington Park

Take a walk through Washington Park and enjoy a story as you stroll! Beginning at the parking lot located on the Lincoln Grade School side of Washington Park, follow the sidewalk to read a story. This two-month session’s book is Señorita Mariposa By Ben Gundersheimer and will be displayed through Tuesday, September 30th.
