The Peoria Area Civic Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Joseph D. Henry, will close its 40th anniversary season with two performances of An American Rhapsody: Gershwin & Friends on Friday and Saturday, May 5 & 6 at 7:30 pm at Five Points Washington. The concert’s musical repertoire celebrates the Great American Songbook of the early 20th century and features music from Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Fats Waller and, of course, George Gershwin.
