Event Description:
Join the Peoria Area Civic Chorale, for our new Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Joshua Russell’s first An American Family Christmas production December 19-21! Hear modern arrangements of favorite carols such as “How Great Our Joy,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “Silent Night” as well as exciting arrangements of “Jingle Bells,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Man with the Bag.” From beautiful a capella to swinging jazz, there is something for audience members of all ages to enjoy. Guests will include the Peoria Area Civic Chorale Youth Chorus, a Junior High Festival Chorus on Friday night only, and a Young Artist Competition teen soloist winner at each performance. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make a special appearance. A cake reception sponsored by Trefzger’s Bakery will follow Friday and Saturday’s performances. Get into the Yuletide spirit with us! It just isn’t Christmas until you’ve experienced the Peoria Area Civic Chorale’s An American Family Christmas!

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
