Event Description:
**Join us at the Live @ Five Points Event Center every 2nd Sunday of the month for a night of incredible, local jazz music.** This month we welcome the Washington Community High School Jazz Band and the Knox College Cherry Street Combo for a full afternoon of jazz. Washington Community High School's jazz band is a co-curricular ensemble under the direction of Jim Tallman. The Cherry St. combo is the premier jazz combo at Knox college, and has hosted jazz every Thursday night in Galesburg for nearly 30 years! Directed by Andy Crawford, The Cherry Street Combo is by audition only. The combo performs professionally at various community and college events and the ensemble also tours yearly. Most recently, the combo released a professionally recorded CD, Patchwork. We will have a fully stocked bar, complete with drink specials and specialty cocktails from 2:30-3:00 pm and again following the high school's performance until 6:00 pm. Bottled water and soft drinks will be available throughout. 2:30 pm - Doors Open 3:00 pm - Washington Community High School's Jazz Band Performance 4:00 pm - Main Stage Performance with Knox College Cherry Street Combo Tickets are $5 each and provide access to both performances. Tickets will also be available at the door!

Animal Rescue Giving Tree at Washington District Library – Sunnyland Branch

Help the Tazewell County Animal Shelter stock their shelves and provide newly adopted animals with the essentials they need. Beginning February 1, 2026, select ornaments with items to donate, purchase the items, and bring them back to the Sunnyland Branch by March 10th.
